Lime reduction
Wimmera grain grower, Tim Rethus, has seen a 40% saving in Lime inputs from working with Precision Agriculture.
Through Precision Agriculture’s grid based soil mapping, testing was completed for ph, phosphorus and sulfur levels providing variable rate prescription maps that reduced overall inputs and improved yield.
Tim summarised the need to engage Precision Ag, “Soil is where everything happens, it’s where our bank of resources is, it’s where all the potential of the crop lies, yet it’s the thing we know the least about”.
